CONGRATULATIONS to all our racers. Thank you for participating. This was the biggest year yet with 34 competitors in the Little Tybee Challenge, 29 competitors in the Tybee River Race with an additional 9 casual paddlers in the River Race, and 8 competitors in the Gold Sponsors Race Across the River for a grand total of 80 participants overall.
Big thanks to our sponsors, especially Title sponsor Fortune Recycling and Platinum sponsor Tybee Island Tourism Council. We will post final funds raised in the near future, but we raised at least $13,000 plus for the Tybee Island Marine Science Center.
Thank you also to our many wonderful volunteers. This event could not happen without those wonderful volunteers.
Congratulations to Donna Drake, the winner of the Perception Sound donated by Half-Moon Outfitters. When we called her, she said "I'm the happiest woman in Savannah today!"
THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR A SUCCESSFUL EVENT!!!!

Race day almost here
Thank you for all the support from our sponsors and volunteers in helping to make this event possible. We are excited about the funds raised for the Tybee Island Marine Science Center.
And thank you to all the participants getting ready for the races. We have lots of pre-registrants and lots of pledges from others that they will be here. The weather looks good. It's going to be a great day for a kayak race!!
Check out this site to support 4 friends - all Atlanta businessmen - participating in the November "Kayak for the Coast" to raise funds for Save Georgia’s Coast and to create awareness about coastal pollution and alterations, and the need to preserve the future of Georgia's marshes and wetlands. We hear that 3 of them will be participating in the Tybee races.
